Letters: Eb Cravens’ letter
Dear Parrots magazine,
Eb Cravens’ letter
I thought the reply to Eb Cravens (Parrots October 2011 165) in reply to his letter in (September 2011 164) was very good and showed great responsibility of Loro Parque.

Dear Parrots magazine,
I need to warn everyone about dodgy traders and how they can trick you into buying the wrong birds.
Dear Parrots magazine,
I read with interest your article in the December issue about the danger of feeding alcohol to parrots, and totally agree with all you have written.
Dear Parrots magazine,
I have just read an article in issue 159 of this magazine on enrichment, and found it so interesting. I hate to see parrots cooped up in a small metal cage with nothing to interest it.
Dear Parrots magazine,
When my pair of Eclectus was housed indoors, all their fruits and vegetables were fed by wedging them between the cage bars. But, when I set them up in a breeding flight outside I couldn’t do this, and they wouldn’t eat the same fresh foods from a dish.
Dear Parrots magazine,
I want to respond to three news stories in the last issue (Parrots December 11). The first story was about a Mrs Hartley who takes her two Caiques on her skiing holidays, sitting in her pockets while she bombs down the slopes. I was horrified to read this story.
