Dear Parrots magazine,
Just in time
I was at a craft fair and saw some items that I thought would make an interesting toy for my Amazon. It was made of wood and a type of raffia tie-up., which I thought would be OK.
My Amazon was made up with it and played with it for hours. But very quickly, he had stripped the tie-up into thin strands and managed to get them tangled around his legs. It was fortunate that we were in the house and managed to free him. I dread to think if we had gone out, what might have happened. Never again would we leave him alone with this type of toy unattended.
