Scrolling through Facebook there are always photos of beautiful birds and rare parrots. Sometimes they are even offered for sale. Whilst there are many genuine sellers with healthy birds, there are also lots of ‘scammers’ out there, and it can be easy to be taken in.

Sadly, here at Feathers Together we hear about people falling for these types of scams on a regular basis. Often by the time they talk to us they have already paid a deposit and then been blocked by the scammer. These scams do usually have a few things in common, so we’ve compiled a guide for our top tips for avoiding them.
