Living with four fully-flighted parrots

Chris Rowland, a huge parrot fan from Lancashire, had wanted a companion parrot ever since she was a small girl. Ten years ago, she eventually fulfilled her dream, but like many parrot owners before her, soon found that one just wasn’t enough, and she and her husband now have two rooms in their house, full of birds! Here, Chris takes up the story:

Alan and I originally went to our local pet shop with the intention of bringing back one of their baby African Greys, but when we got there we changed our minds completely. Brian, an adorable young Blue-fronted Amazon took to me immediately, and just seemed so comfortable with the two of us, and was so friendly, that he made us change our plans, and we took him home instead!
