Teaching your parrot to forage

Blue wild Amazon sighted on Bonaire

Ten years after the first, another blue wild Yellow-shouldered Amazon (Amazona barbadensis) has been spotted on the Caribbean island of Bonaire in the last few weeks.

Positive ID means birds can be returned!
Our main objective for 2013 is to make a concerted effort to encourage all parrot owners to make sure their parrots are provided with a positive means of identification, using rings and/or microchips.

Living with Jacob so different to Lucy

Although Margaret and Trevor Johns from Kent have many companion parrots – and have a special affinity with Amazons - they still enjoy their cockatiels and budgies as much as they have ever done and breed both species inside and outside.
