Living with Bubbles, Toulouse, Bunny and Pumpkin

On my tenth birthday I was given my first budgie, a blue-feathered substitute for a much longed for puppy.  At this age, I knew nothing about the care of budgies, but found some useful books, and more importantly had a wonderfully friendly young budgie to learn with.

I loved this bird so much and he was a great companion.  He would fly between two people on the command of “jump,” and sit on my shoulder while I did my homework.
