Healthy foods for your parrots

Spreads for web 4

The search for the ultimate diet is always at the top of the important list. Here, Annie MacIntyre highlights some of the foods that can be good for parrots.

Almond Butter: Almond butter is healthier than peanut butter and most parrots love it. It can be put on other healthy foods to make them more palatable. One Grey owner who was having trouble getting her parrot to eat vegetables started putting almond butter on broccoli, and it didn't take the bird long to eat the vegetable. It has necessary vitamins and minerals, healthy fats, fibre and essential fatty acids (EFA's).
